Understanding our Class Structure.

Sims Gymnastics is divided into Recreational and Competitive gymnastics.

Our Recreational programme is open to everyone and divided into classes by age and consist of:

7 to about 12 years old
4, 5 and 6 years old (From Reception age onwards)
Gymmies (3 and 4 years old, preschool)
Play Gym (6 months to 4 years old)

Our competitive gymnastics is open to everyone by tryout only and divided into A Squad that competes in Women’s Artistic voluntary levels and grades, a Development class which is a preparatory group of girls working to develop skills to compete in the A Squad, the B Squad competing general level 4 piece and 2 piece apparatus, and a Novice class competing general level for floor and vault competition for boys and girls. An intermediate competition class is also available by selection.
